UAB RIFE Concurrent/Dual Enrollment Courses

Class Options:

BUS 110. Essentials of Financial LiteracyAn introductory course dealing with the mathematics of money and financial literacy.

FN 102. Money and SocietyThe basic principles of the use of money in society are presented in a decision making framework. The objective of this course is to provide students with the tools necessary to analyze financial issues from a global and societal perspective.

Each student must complete and submit the 2019 Dual Enrollment Program Application by April 27, 2019 The application must include the following:

  1. One letter of recommendation from either the students principal or guidance counselor.
  2. A one-page essay on why the student feels they should be considered for the program, and the effectiveness of online classes.
  3. A letter of permission from the parent or guardian of the student.
  4. An official academic transcript
  5. Proof of ACT scores

These classes will be completely virtual, so the student must have reliable access to a computer with internet connection. Web camera access is optional.

Student must have at least a 3.00 GPA on a 4.00 grading scale. This will be confirmed by a submission of the student’s transcript. Applicants who do not submit their transcript will not be considered.The student must have scored at least a 20 on the ACT Exam.
