UAB RIFE Concurrent/Dual Enrollment Courses

BUS 110. Essentials of Financial Literacy – An introductory course dealing with the mathematics of money and financial literacy.
FN 102. Money and Society – The basic principles of the use of money in society are presented in a decision making framework. The objective of this course is to provide students with the tools necessary to analyze financial issues from a global and societal perspective.
Each student must complete and submit the 2019 Dual Enrollment Program Application by April 27, 2019 The application must include the following:
- One letter of recommendation from either the students principal or guidance counselor.
- A one-page essay on why the student feels they should be considered for the program, and the effectiveness of online classes.
- A letter of permission from the parent or guardian of the student.
- An official academic transcript
- Proof of ACT scores
These classes will be completely virtual, so the student must have reliable access to a computer with internet connection. Web camera access is optional.
Student must have at least a 3.00 GPA on a 4.00 grading scale. This will be confirmed by a submission of the student’s transcript. Applicants who do not submit their transcript will not be considered.The student must have scored at least a 20 on the ACT Exam.
