Tamauri Murray

Student Ambassador, 11th grade

My responsibilities as an ambassador: My responsibilities as a GEAR UP ambassador to spread the word on the great opportunities GEAR UP offers to many students within the BCS school system and most importantly be a leader to my peers and those around me.
Why I decided to become a student ambassador: I decided to become a student ambassador because GEAR UP personally has exposed me to lots of people, opportunities, and programs. I would just like to get the word out there so that others can take advantage of the opportunities.
A short fun fact about myself: I like to talk…. a lot and joke around.

Tuwanna Murray

Parent Ambassador

My responsibilities as an ambassador: My main responsibility is to communicate with other GEAR UP parents about what services and programs are offered to our students and to encourage them to participate in activities that will help them and their children to succeed in college.
Why I decided to become a parent ambassador: To communicate with parents about all the opportunities their children have available through the GEAR UP program.
A short fun fact about myself: Although I sometimes try, I cannot dance!
